Relaxation massage is becoming more and more popular in Poland. Thanks to the wide availability - in physiotherapist's offices, beauty salons and SPA - we can use many types of relaxing massage. It is worth remembering that the effects of this treatment cover not only the psychosomatic zone, but also the physical aspects of our body.

The benefits of relaxing massage can be used even every day, and the session lasts from an hour to one hour and a half.

How to prepare?

Relaxation massage does not require special preparation. However, it is worth remembering that you should not eat heavy meals about 1.5 hours before the procedure. You should take a shower before the massage. Massage oil, candle, chocolate or other means are used for the massage. During the procedure, the patient is naked or wearing a disposable outfit, the body is covered with a towel, and only the part of the body that will be massaged is exposed.

Indications and contraindications for massage

There are no specific indications for a relaxing massage - its effect is primarily internal calming, getting rid of stress, reducing muscle tension and relaxation, as well as improving blood and lymph circulation, regulating water management and even combating insomnia. Relaxing massage is not a therapeutic procedure, so you do not need any referral, most people can use it.

However, there are some contraindications that are specific to specific types of relaxing massage - choosing such treatment may not be possible for people with cardiovascular disease, cancer or haemophilia. Not all massages are performed on pregnant women, during viral and bacterial infections and skin diseases. In such cases, you should consult a doctor for even such a gentle treatment as a relaxing massage.
