Radio waves

Treatments using radiofrequency are based on causing a thermal effect in the tissue. The device used to perform these types of procedures is equipped with electrodes between which current flows.

The main biological effect is the overheating collagen fibers to the temperature of 54° C. Under the influence of heating, they are subject to contraction, and then also tension. Overheating contributes to the stimulation of fibroblasts, and thus the reconstruction and production of new collagen and elastin.
